Day 01: Trivandrum
Arrive at Trivandrum. In Trivandrum, you
will be given a customary warm welcome by
our Lets Travel India executive and later
on check in at a hotel for relaxation. In
the afternoon, take a sightseeing tour of
the city.
The Fort: This is the main point
of historical interest in the city.
Padmanakhaswami Vishnu Temple: It
was constructed by a Maharaja of Travancore,
in 1733.
Napier Museum: It has bronzes/ivory
carving, music instruments & life-size
Kathakali dancer's figures.
Sri Chitra Art Gallery: It has paintings
of Mughal, Tanjore & Rajput schools
and of Raja Ravi Verma.
Zoological Gardens: This garden is
said to be, among the well-planned zoos
in Asia.
The Observatory: Located at highest
point of the city, it is an architectural
landmark of the city.
Day 02: Thottapally
On day 2 of your tour, you will drive to
Thottapally to board a houseboat.
For the next 24 hours, you will be travelling
in the backwaters; with meals served aboard
the houseboat. Next day your houseboat will
bring you to Alleppey.
Day 03: Alleppey - Kumarakom
After having your breakfast in Alleppey,
you will disembark the Houseboat and drive
to Kumarakom.
During the night, your stay will be at a
resort located on the banks of the backwaters
at Kumarakom.
Day 04: Kumarakom - Periyar
You travel through the serene water boat
of the Lake Periyar from Kumarakom to Periyar.
On your way to Periyar, one of the famous
wildlife sanctuaries and tiger reserves
of India, you can spot wild animals on the
shores of the lake. You will be staying
overnight at Periyar.
Day 05: Munnar
After breakfast, you will leave for one
of the prominent hill stations in Kerala,
Munnar.
Pothamedu: It is a scenic spot offering
great views of tea, coffee & cardamom
plantations in Munnar.
Devikulam: It is an idyllic hill
station & the most sought-after among
the tourist attractions of Munnar.
Sita Devi Lake: This is an ideal
place for boating and an ultimate picnic
spot.
Matuppetty: It is located at a height
of 1700 meters and famous for its highly
specialized dairy farm.
Matuppetty Dam: The dam is a short
distance from the Matuppetty Dam, and is
a beautiful picnic spot.
Matuppetty Lake: This is the artificial
lake formed on the Dam, and serves as a
great boating site.
Attukal: If you wish to go for the
long treks, then this place should be your
choice.
Nyayamakad: Located at a distance
of 10 Kms from Munnar, this place is a land
of incredible waterfalls.
Eravikulam National Park: This flourishing
national park is home to the Nilgiri Tahr.
Anamundi Peak: This peak is the highest
among all the other peaks of South India.
Overnight stay will be at Munnar.
Day 06: Cochin
In the afternoon we drive to Cochin from
Munnar to enjoy the city sightseeing tour.
Bolghatty Palace: Bolghatty Palace
is a Dutch palace, situated on the Bolghatty
Island.
Chinese Fishing Nets: The Chinese
fishing nets found here are the only ones
of its kind in India.
Dutch Palace: The Dutch Palace was
originally built by the Portuguese in 17th
century.
Fort Kochi beach: It is wonderful
beach for a walk along the beach at sunset.
Hill Palace: Built in the 19th century
by Raja of Kochi, the palace has been converted
into a museum.
Jewish Synagogue: This synagogue,
adorned by Chinese tiles & Belgian chandeliers,
was built in 1568.
St. Francis Church: St. Francis Church
is the oldest church built by Europeans
in India.
Day 07 & 14: Kovalam Beach
In the morning you will drive to Kovalam.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the
beach and undergo rejuvenation at the Ayurvedic
Treatment Center at Kovalam.
Day 15: Trivandrum
On day 15th, you will return back to Trivandrum
to catch a flight from the Trivandrum airport
for your onward journey or your way back
