Welcome
to Rajasthan; a unique land that surprises
you with new wonders across its stretching
miles. It is a land that is packed with history,
arts and culture. It is a fantastic land with
a great history; a history of abundance, opulence
and richness, which is still amply visible
in the remnants of the old palaces, Havelis,
Forts, and other historical structures.
It is a land of people, who
are brave and forthright. People with nomadic
lifestyles and a freeness that is only visible
in this special land. Everything about this
place is truly mystical, enchanting, impressive
and fascinating.
Rajasthan state is spread
over a total area of over 343000 sq. km,
which is divided into 2 parts by the impressive
Aravali's range spread in the length of
more than 700 Kilometers. This range thus
divides the state into two regions with
entirely different geographical features.
Water levels here are very low and have
been so for many centuries.

History of Rajasthan |
|
Rajasthan was settled
long earlier than 2500 BC and the Indus Valley
Civilization had its establishment here in
north Rajasthan itself. The Bhils and the
Mina tribes were the initial inhabitants of
this region. Around 1400 BC, the Aryans paid
a trip here and stayed back eternally in the
region. The home inhabitants were pressed
down south and towards the east. Afghans,
Turks, Persians and Mughals came after, mixing
their blood with the existing original population.
This amalgamation gave the aggressive ancestry
to the Rajputs.
